As the photos illustrate, heavy surface rusting was evident before the project began. The old gutter and downspout system was removed, and then new, shop fabricated 24 gauge-galvanized gutters and downspouts were installed.
The existing metal roof was first treated with rust inhibitor to slow the oxidation process, which was causing the rusting problems. The roof was then pressure washed and all seams and fasteners were waterproofed with #7141 “Super Seam Sealer”. Two separate applications of #7140 “Just Super” rubberized coating were then installed to provide an extremely cost effective solution to total roof replacement. |
